the fucking worst is when people are like “you hate people for having a different opinion than you!!!!” like im not shitting on this guy because he thinks pistachio ice cream is gross im shitting on him because he actually believes that i and people like me dont deserve basic human rights and respect and safety
i’ve always found “networking” difficult to understand (and execute) because i find it so incredibly selfish and capitalistic. it is just the practice of making (and oftentimes faking) relationships with others for one’s own eventual gain. the fact that it’s a crucial element of succeeding in a capitalist economy really says something about how capitalism directly affects sociological processes in a negative way.
watch all the corporations and banks as they change their twitter icons to rainbow flags, release marriage equality themed advertisements, and capitalise off the centuries long struggle they opposed at every turn until it became profitable to them
